RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Are you ready to go the distance to cure cancer? The 2019 Victory Ride is fast approaching.

The charity cycling event benefits the V Foundation, which was founded by former North Carolina State University Basketball Coach Jim Valvano.

One-hundred percent of rider-raised funds benefit cancer research.

Sherrie Mazur from the V foundation stopped by CBS 17 to tell us about the big event.

The ride is May 18 and CBS 17 is a proud sponsor.

The ride starts and ends on N.C. State’s Centennial Campus.
