A 66-year-old woman was attacked from behind and had her purse stolen outside a Wake Forest TJ Maxx on Tuesday, police said.

Officials said the male suspect targeted the woman at the store on Capital Boulevard around 4 p.m.

After attacking the woman from behind, the suspect grabbed her purse and fled the scene, according to police.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
