FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WNCN) - A member of the U.S. Air Force faces rape and cruelty to animals charges after being arrested on Fort Bragg, Holly Springs police said.
William Kyle James, 29, was arrested on Fort Bragg by military police and members of the Holly Springs Police Department.
James is accused of sex crimes involving victim under the age of 13 in Wake County, warrant say.
He was charged with two counts of first-degree statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 13 and two counts of taking indecent liberties, Holly Springs police said.
These counts involve one victim, who is the child of the suspect’s ex-girlfriend.Warrants show James is accused of intentionally left two dogs without food or water for a day in May.
He is charged with two counts of cruelty to animals on connection with that May 26 incident.
He's being held under a $1 million bond.
