An ambulance overturned on an interstate highway in Raleigh on Tuesday night.
Heavy rain was reported when the ambulance flipped around 11:25 p.m. on Interstate 440.
The crash happened on eastbound I-440 between Capital Boulevard and Yonkers Road.
Images from the scene showed the ambulance flipped on its passenger side.
The ambulance is a North State Medical Transport vehicle.
The ambulance was not transporting any patients at the time of the crash and those in the vehicle suffered only minor injuries. It’s unclear if weather contributed to the wreck.
