RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A car plowed into a restaurant in a strip mall along New Bern Avenue in Raleigh Friday afternoon, police said.

The incident was reported around 5:45 p.m. at the Wing Stop at 4531 New Bern Avenue, according to Raleigh police.

An elderly woman whose car was in the parking lot “hit the wrong pedal,” police said.

The car crashed through a large window on one side of the restaurant.

Police said no one was hurt.

As of 6:30 p.m., workers were stacking chairs and cleaning up the broken glass and bent window framing.

The restaurant, which is normally open until midnight, was closed after the crash.
