RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – The Town of Cary is the safest place to live in the U.S. – according to Homesnacks and homes.com.
Homesnacks looked at data from 283 cities with a population of more than 100,000 to determine the safest locations.
Cary is home to 165,000 people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. That means Cary has a population larger than any municipality in South Carolina.
The data showed Cary’s violent crime rate is 82 percent below the national average while its overall crime rate is 83 lower than the national average.
A release from homes.com said the average home price in Cary is $365,100, “making it a relatively affordable place to live as well.”
