Crews extinguish fire at Chili’s in Wake Forest

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — The Chili’s restaurant in Wake Forest was evacuated Thursday evening after a fire was reported.

The incident was reported just after 7:30 p.m. at the restaurant at 11380 Capital Blvd., according to a news release from Wake Forest fire officials.

“On arrival, firefighters entered the structure and found a small fire which was brought under control and extinguished,” the news release said.

Officials said the fire was found in the rear area inside the restaurant.

Units from Wake Forest Police Department and Wake EMS were on the scene.  Wake Forest fire crews deployed a drone for aerial video of the restaurant.

Four engines were sent to the scene. No one was hurt.

The fire is under investigation, according to the news release.
