Fire reported in an inmate’s cell at Wake County Public Safety Center

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A fire was reported inside of an inmate’s cell at the Wake County Public Safety Center in downtown Raleigh, but was contained shortly after.

Wake County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Eric Curry confirmed the news to CBS 17.

No other details were shared on how the fire may have began or if anyone was injured.
