Firefighters work to extinguish 2-alarm fire at Morrisville apartment complex

MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Multiple fire crews are working to contain a 2-alarm fire Wednesday evening at an apartment complex in Morrisville, according to the Morrisville Fire Department.  

The fire is located on Summit Ridge Loop in the Camden Westwood Apartment complex, which at the intersection of Chapel Hill Road and Weston Parkway. 

Officials on scene said 32 people were displaced. The complex is working with the Red Cross to find them housing.

Firefighters rescued three dogs from the apartments as it took crews 30 minutes to get the fire under control. 

Crews were on scene after 5 p.m. 

Town officials said the cause of the fire was ruled to be “undetermined.”
