KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WNCN) — A road in eastern Wake County near Knightdale was shut down following a hit-and-run crash Friday morning, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Forestville Road between Old Milburnie and Horton roads is shut down after a hit-and-run crash damaged a power pole and cable wires around 5:40 a.m., authorities said.

According to the highway patrol, no one was injured in the crash and no charges have been filed since the driver fled the scene.

The road will be closed until AT&T can go to the site of the crash and make repairs to the pole and wires, officials said.

There is no timetable on the repairs or road reopening.
