WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — A North Carolina dad who was intoxicated at a Wake Forest bar tried to get his young child to drive him home, officials said.
The incident happened Sunday and the arrest was made at the Carolina Ale House, according to arrest records and Bill Crabtree, a spokesman for the town of Wake Forest.
Jimmy Brogden, 45, of Creedmore in Granville County was arrested, Crabtree said.
Brogden, who was intoxicated when he was taken into custody, tried to get his 8-year-old child to drive the pair home, according to Crabtree.
Brogden was charged with misdemeanor child abuse, disorderly conduct and resisting a public officer, according to arrest records.
