RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Firefighters are investigating a fire in northern Wake County that occurred Wednesday morning and left a home destroyed.
The incident happened shortly before 3:30 a.m. in the 5200 block of Caber Road in the Wood Valley subdivision.
When firefighters arrived on scene the house was fully engulfed in flames, according to Deputy Fire Marshal Cliff Freeman.
Six fire departments responded to the scene.
No one was inside the home at the time of the fire and there are currently no injuries to civilians or firefighters, officials said.
A neighbor told CBS 17 that the home was on sale for about a year and that just this week it went under contract. They said a woman typically commutes between Virginia and the home and she was not there at the time of the fire.
A cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
