RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Officials are investigating a Friday morning fire in Downtown Raleigh.

Around 3 a.m., Raleigh firefighters responded to a blaze in the 2700 block of South Wilmington Street.

The Raleigh Fire Department said the fire started in a garage behind an unoccupied building that may have been a House of Lights location. The fire then spread to vacant former motel.

The fire’s origin is still under investigation. There were no injuries.
