Police identify young man who died in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - Raleigh police are investigating after a young man died late Saturday night.

Police said they were called to the 4200 block of Waterbury Road around 10:30 p.m., according to a Raleigh police news release.

"A death investigation is currently underway at that location," the news release said.

On Sunday afternoon, police said Derrick Malik Wiley, 21, who died, was found outside at the location.

Saturday night several officers were gathered at the area, which is near the intersection of Deana Lane and New Hope Church Road, on Saturday night and a street was blocked, according to a CBS 17 reporter at the scene.

No other details were released.
