Wake County News

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) – A Wake County middle schooler en route to his bus stop Friday was hit by a car.

The victim is a student at Wake Forest Middle School and only suffered minor injuries, according to a letter from principal Christopher Bradford.

“We are relieved the student’s injuries were not more serious, and we are grateful for the quick response from medical professionals and law enforcement,” the letter said.

Town of Wake Forest spokesperson Bill Crabtree told CBS 17 the 14-year-old student reported being struck by a red sedan in the area of North Allen Road and East Pine Avenue between 6 and 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Crabtree added that the student then went to school and reported the incident to the school’s administration. He was then transported to WakeMed with minor injuries.
