Raleigh man accused of masturbating in front of teen at Glenwood bus stop

A Raleigh man is facing a felony charge after pleasuring himself in front of a teen girl at a Glenwood Avenue bus stop, according to a Wake County Magistrate’s Order obtained by CBS 17.

Gary Christopher Mahar, 63, is charged with one count of felony indecent exposure with the defendant being at least 18 years of age and the victim being under 16.

According to court documents, Mahar “expose[d] his penis…to actively masturbate in a public place.” The incident occurred at a City of Raleigh bus stop in the 1600 block of Glenwood Avenue on Wednesday.

The victim, according to the magistrate’s order, was 15 years old.

Mahar was arrested and given a $5,000 secured bond.

His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
