WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WNCN) –  If you’re looking to adopt a dog or cat into your family, you’re in luck this Saint Patrick’s Day.

From Saturday through March 22nd at the Wake County Animal Center, adoption fees will be reduced for pets ages six months and older during their “Pot of Gold” special.

Dogs will cost $25 to take home and you can name your price for cats.

There are also foster animals that you can adopt.

“When you see how many delightful dogs and cats we have available this St. Paddy’s Day, you might have pinch yourself, even if you’re wearing green, just to make sure you’re not dreaming,” said Dr. Jennifer Federico, director of the WakeCounty Animal Center. “The pets adopted during ‘Pot of Gold’ will treasure your kindness and show they love you all year round.”
