Silver Alert issued for missing Raleigh teen girl

Authorities in Wake County are searching for a missing 13-year-old Raleigh girl and a Silver Alert has been issued.

Kayla Walton, who is a black female with black hair and brown eyes, was last seen at 5912 Neuse St. She is described as being 5 foot 4 and weighing 140 pounds. Walton was last seen wearing a burgundy short sleeve shirt, black jeans and black dress shoes.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued the Silver Alert just after midnight Thursday. They say Walton “is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.”

The release from the NCCMP does not state when Walton was last seen.

If anyone has information on her whereabouts, they are asked call the Wake County Sheriff’s Office at (919) 856-6911.
