Teen hit by vehicle on Wake Forest Road suffers serious injuries, Raleigh police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Raleigh police are investigating after a teenager was hit by a vehicle Friday morning on Wake Forest Road.

According to police, the teen was struck on Wake Forest Road at Sycamore Street around 7:30 a.m.

The teen was transported to WakeMed with serious injuries.

Inbound Wake Forest Road between Sycamore and Poplar streets was shut down while police investigated the collision but it has since reopened.

Police had no further information, but said the teen’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
