RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Western Boulevard is closed at the I-440 Beltline, between Blue Ridge and Chaney roads for an emergency water-line repair, Raleigh Water said Wednesday night.

Repair work is underway and is expected to be completed at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

All traffic on Western Boulevard is being diverted on to the I-440 beltline in both directions.

Motorists approaching this work area should expect traffic delays and are advised to avoid this area if possible.

Motorists should be aware of all posted traffic signs, closures, traffic cones, and work crews, Raleigh Water said.

Customers in this area should not experience any interruption of services. If interruption of services occurs, impacted customers will be notified by Raleigh Water staff via phone call, property visit, and/or doorhanger.
