WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WNCN) - A two-vehicle wreck involving a deputy's vehicle closed a major road in Wake County Tuesday night, officials said.
Sources told CBS 17 it was a Wake County deputy involved in the crash. He was transported to WakeMed and is in stable condition with a possible broken leg, according to the sheriff. His K-9 was with him, but is OK.
A second person was also taken to WakeMed. That person's condition is unknown, officials said.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said a "high severity" crash closed US-401 near Farm and Old Stage roads around 9 p.m. The road reopened around 10:45 p.m.
