Wake County Public Libraries’ annual book sale begins Thursday

Wake County News

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Wake County Public Libraries’ annual book sale begins Thursday and runs through May 5.

More than 200,000 books will be up for sale in the Expo Center located at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.

This annual book sale gives residents an opportunity to pick up some favorite books and discover new books.

This year, instead of the teacher pre-sale event, the book sale will open early.

Wake County Public School System teachers and media specialists are invited to attend the sale at any time during the public hours.

All WCPSS teachers and media specialists with a current WCPSS ID are invited to attend the Wake County Public Library Book Sale and select two free boxes of books for classroom use.

There is free parking for this event. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. Officials suggest you bring your own handcart for this event.

All funds generated from the book sale return to Wake County’s general fund, which supports county agencies, services and programs.
