A gunman forced two Bojangles’ workers into a freezer after he robbed the store early Thursday morning, Wake Forest police say.

The incident was reported around 12:15 a.m. at the Wake Forest Bojangles at 12109 Cloverleaf Drive, according to police.

A 911 caller said the gunman came out of the bushes with a loaded gun as two workers were leaving for the night.

“The suspect then forced one of the employees to open the safe and withdraw an undisclosed amount of money before forcing both employees into a freezer,” a news release from Wake Forest police said.

A worker called 911 after the suspect left.

“Y’all need to get some people up here we just got robbed,” the caller said. No one was hurt.

Detectives said they believe this incident may be related to a similar robbery on July 22 at the McDonald’s at 1001 Forestville Road.
