RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Allegations of stolen money triggered a Raleigh attack in which a man was stabbed in the face and chest earlier this week, court documents indicate.
A Raleigh woman was charged after police say she was involved in the assault, which happened Monday.
Police responded to WakeMed in reference to a man that had been stabbed and it was there that they saw the man had been stabbed in the face and chest, suffering what police believe to be non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation revealed that the stabbing occurred in the 1500 block of Creekwood Court, police said.
Dejai Ariane Volter, 21, is charged with felony conspiracy assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in connection with the incident, according to police.
Before the attack Monday, the stabbing victim said he went to the home of his girlfriend, who also lives with Volter, according to a search warrant.
While at the home, Volter accused the victim of stealing money from her purse, the warrant said.
Later, the victim said he went into a bedroom to talk to his girlfriend about the theft allegations from Volter, the warrant said.
Three men went into the bedroom to restrain the victim and he was stabbed, according to the warrant.
According to her arrest warrant, the victim was stabbed seven times. Two unidentified men are also wanted in connection with the attack, the warrant shows.
