Woman fights back, stabs Raleigh home intruder, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman who was the victim of a home invasion turned the tables on the suspect and stabbed him early Saturday, police say.

The incident was reported around 12:40 a.m. in the 3900 block of Virginia Street.

The resident of the home told police that a “known subject” broke into the home, officials said.

The woman then stabbed the suspect after he started to assault her, said police.

The suspect was found nearby and he was transported to WakeMed with a stab wound to the stomach.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

The stabbed man’s name was not available on Saturday afternoon. No other details were provided
