GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) - Goldsboro police arrested a teen Friday morning in connection with a double shooting that left one dead late last month, according to a news release.
Tyriek Langston, 18, of Goldsboro, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Terrance Ryan Drakeford, the release said.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Edgerton Street around 10 p.m. on Sept. 27. They found Drakeford and a girl who was shot.
The girl was taken to Wayne UNC Health for treatment. Drakeford was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
Langston was arrested at his residence on Fussell Street just after 9 a.m. Friday, the release said. He is being held under no bond on one count of first-degree murder.
Langston's first scheduled court appearance is set for Saturday, the release said.
The investigation "is continuing and additional arrests are expected," the release said.
