GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman has been arrested after two people were seriously hurt after a shooting in Goldsboro early Friday morning, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
GPD officers and investigators, along with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, took 22-year-old Naeisha Faison into custody in the 1200 block of N. Berkeley Blvd. at approximately 8 a.m. Friday. She has been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
On Friday shortly before 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Rockefeller Court for a ShotSpotter alert.
After arriving, police said they stopped a suspicious vehicle in the area and discovered that the driver had been shot. Police called EMS to the scene.
Officers then learned another shooting victim arrived by a personal vehicle at UNC Health Wayne. Police said both victims were then transported to ECU Health Medical Center for further treatment.
Police said both victims were in serious condition but are now stable.
Faison was placed in the custody of the Wayne County Detention Center and given a $750,000 bond. Her first court appearance is Monday.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated, according to the police department.
