Woman injured in overnight Raleigh apartment fire, two displaced

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A woman was injured after a fire broke out in a two story apartment building on New Bern Ave early Thursday morning.

Fire officials say the fire broke out shortly after 12 a.m. at 824 New Bern Ave.

When firefighters arrived on scene smoke was showing from the second floor of the apartment building.

According to the news release, the woman was treated by EMS for shoulder shoulder pain, and two others were displaced.

Approximately 45 firefighters responded to the scene.

The fire which was intentionally set was brought under control in less than 10 minutes after it was reported.
