GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — A 41-year-old man who grabbed a complimentary lollipop before allegedly robbing a Key Bank in Gresham on Tuesday is now behind bars on a federal charge.

Brandon Ross was recognized by investigators who looked at surveillance pictures of the bank robbery, the Gresham Police Department said in a release.

Ross allegedly walked into the Key Bank on NW Burnside and Eastman Parkway around 10:30 a.m. on May 22, took the lollipop, then robbed the bank. He took off with an undisclosed amount of money and dropped the lollipop stick in his path.

He’s now being held at the Multnomah County Jail on a federal bank robbery charge.
