A man accused of shooting his girlfriend three times at a Durham hotel Sunday night turned himself into police early Monday morning, Durham Police said.
According to a search warrant 27-year-old Conti Harris was shot in a room at the Comfort Inn off Highway 55.
Police said three children were in the room at the time of the shooting, but none of them were injured.
Harris and one of the children told police that Harris’ boyfriend, 33-year-old Mike Dwayne Brown, was the shooter.
Brown led officers on a foot pursuit before eventually turning himself in Monday morning around 2 a.m.
Police asked Harris why Brown shot her and she said he was “high.”
