BALTIMORE (CBS NEWSPATH) – Baltimore police and the fire department are investigating after a man was killed when a portable toilet caught fire Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the incident happened around 3 p.m. in one of the M&T Bank Stadium parking lots.

A stadium security guard noticed the flames and called 911.

“When we arrived on scene they were engulfed in flames and there was an adult male running from one of the port a potties. Immediately he collapsed on the floor. He was dead upon arrival,” according to Baltimore City Fire Department Blair Adams.

The fast burning fire also destroyed 3 portable toilets next to M&T Bank Stadium.

Police and fire remained on scene for about two hours near the light rail tracks by the stadium. However, traffic was never impacted.
