Man charged with with stealing cattle in Robeson County

SHANNON, N.C. (WBTW) – A man has been arrested for stealing cows in Robeson County. 

Kevin Carl Hagans, Jr. was arrested on Tuesday for the theft of cattle in the Shannon area, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Hagans was charged with felony conspiracy, larceny of cattle, felony possession of cocaine, and possession of control substance on jail premises. 

Hagans was booked into the Robeson County Detention Center with a $5,000 secured bond for the larceny charges and a $5,000 unsecured bond on his narcotics charges. 

During an investigation, law enforcement officers found that Hagans and others sold more than 25 cattle in Smithfield.
