RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - A pharmaceutical company has issued a voluntary recall on its birth control as it may be arranged in the wrong order, the FDA announced.
Weston, Florida, Apotex Corporation is recalling Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets.
The company said pills may be arranged in the wrong order or having missing pills altogether.
Taking the pills out of order can make them less effective.
The affected Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets, USP lots include the following and can be identified by NDC numbers stated on the inner and outer cartons:
