LAS VEGAS (KLAS/WNCN) – There was a tragic incident at the High Roller observation ride Friday night.
According to Metro Police, around 7 p.m. a 23-year-old man was running in the loading area of the High Roller and fell 50-feet to the ground.
The man was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The fall did not impact the operation of the High Roller, which stayed open.
The High Roller is the world’s tallest Ferris wheel at 550 feet. An adult ticket for the 30-minute ride costs $32 when bought on the internet.
A portion of the LINQ Promenade was closed while police investigated the deadly fall.
