GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – A Pitt County man is in jail on a $2 million bond on charges of child sex crimes.
Pitt County Sheriff’s Office detectives recently began an investigation into alleged sex crimes involving a minor child victim. On Thursday, deputies arrested Daniel Lee Wilson, 34, of Pitt County, and charged him with the following counts:
- 1 felony count of statutory rape of a child under the age of 15
- 1 felony count of statutory sexual offense with child
- 1 felony count of incest of a child
Wilson appeared in Pitt County Magistrate Court, where his bond was set at $2,000,000.
He is being held at the Pitt County Detention Center,
Wilson is also being held on a separate $65,000 bond on unrelated charges of misdemeanor driving while impaired and felony possession of a controlled substance on a jail or prison premises.
