NC man known as ‘Nasty Dog’ wanted in stabbing of a 70-year-old man

The Washington County Sheriff Office is looking for a man they said beat, stabbed and burned a 70-year-old man.

George J. Armstrong, 42, who also goes by the nickname “Nasty Dog,” is wanted for attempted murder, breaking and entering, and assault with a deadly weapon.

On May 12, deputies received a call from a residence located in Plymouth.

Deputies arrived to the scene and said they found a 70-year-old man that had been beaten, stabbed and burned.

The victim after being stabilized at the Vidant Hospital was flown to the Chapel Hill Burn Center where he remains in critical condition.

Deputies said Armstrong should be considered armed and dangerous and is believed to be hiding in the Jamesville area.
