MAGNOLIA, N.C. (WNCT) – Deputies are on the lookout for a Kenansville man after a man and woman were found shot, with one victim dying, in Duplin County Tuesday.
Deputies responded to a residence on Bonham Road near the town of Magnolia on Tuesday, where they found 27-year-old Tammy Hannah and 30-year-old Ever Espinoza unresponsive in the front yard.
Hannah died due to injuries suffered in the shooting. Espinoza, who was shot in the back, was taken to Vidant Medical Center.
The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect is Lamir Elam, 28, who is 5 foot 11 inches tall and weight about 196 pounds. His last known address is on East N.C. 24 Highway in Kenansville, deputies said.
The Sheriff’s Office said he should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information should contact the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office at 910-296-2150.
