NC worker saves mail as postal truck goes up in flames


CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A US Postal truck caught fire on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the destruction of the vehicle.

Nearly half of the truck’s frame was consumed by the flames in a Steele Creek neighborhood in Charlotte.

Eyewitness reports state that the driver was able to exit the vehicle safely and retrieve the mail that had been inside the truck when the fire started.

The Charlotte Fire Department was on the scene and helped to control the blaze.

Video showed the entire truck was burned and photos showed the entire front of the vehicle was gone.

No further information about the fire has been released at this time.
