NC Zoo holding voting contest to name newborn chimp

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — The North Carolina Zoo needs help naming its newest chimpanzee, and wants your help!

The baby boy was born on March 18.

To help find a name for him, the zoo is holding a baby naming contest.

These are the names you can vote for: Ayo, Kojo, Masaka, and Obi.

The names are all African in origin and chosen by the zookeepers.

The contest voting ends on April 29 at 5 p.m.
