NC man stabs girlfriend after luring her with Facebook

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are searching for a 25-year-old man suspected of stabbing his ex-girlfriend Tuesday night.

Police say Rolandy Beatty lured his ex-girlfriend to McRae Street around 6:30 p.m. using a false Facebook account. He's accused of stabbing her several times and taking her cell phone before running away from the area.

The woman is in serious condition at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Beatty for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill causing serious injuries.
