RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A new report lists Raleigh-Durham in the top five places to live in the United States.

U.S. News analyzed 100 cities in the U.S. and ranked them based on quality of life and the job market, as well as the value of living there and people’s desire to live there.

Raleigh-Durham came in at No. 4 with an overall score of 7.5 out of 10.

According to the report, the area, which includes Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, is luring nearly 80 new residents a day with its job growth, high quality of life and strong sense of community.

The population is young, friendly, diverse and educated, and enjoys frequenting the area’s nationally recognized restaurants and many microbreweries, the report states.

The area’s green spaces, family-friendly museums and a growing art and music scene are also cited as contributing factors.

Denver, Colorado, tops the list of cities followed by Austin, Texas, and Fayetteville, Arkansas, coming in at No. 2 and 3 respectively.Visit usnews.com to read the complete report.
