Raleigh home to attract thousands with elaborate Halloween decorations

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Jesse Jones is getting his Oakwood neighborhood house ready for Halloween.

This will be his ninth year in a row decorating and displaying scary props for trick-or-treaters visiting his street. Jones, 53, is expecting thousands to stop by his house throughout this upcoming Halloween weekend.

“So you don’t see color or race or anything. You just see people trying to dress up and be somebody else. And you go out there and scare them and you see some great costumes and you see some great creativity. It’s just a great time,” Jones said.

Jones has 30 monsters statues that are running of off 30 different electrical outlets. The Oakwood community loves this annual Halloween tradition.

“I think it’s awesome. We’ve seen some of the kids come running over here all excited. Ran into some of the other neighbors and they talked about how this is an amazing part of Halloween for neighborhood,” Karen Cole said.

Jones will be hiring 30 actors in costumes to hangout and scare people on Halloween.

Check out his scary house on the 500 block of Oakwood Avenue — you can’t miss it.
