PHILADELPHIA (WNCN) – A Duke University graduate and Raleigh business leader will speak at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday.
Brooks Bell is expected to address the crowd between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m.
Bell is founder and CEO of Brooks Bell, a Raleigh-based technology company.
Bell says the goal of her company is to “make the Internet easier for customers to use.”
According to a bio posted on her company’s website, Bell also co-founded HQ Raleigh and ThinkHouse Raleigh. She is also active in the Democratic Party.CBS North Carolina Political Reporter Beau Minnick is at the convention and will be interviewing Brooks Bell ahead of her speech. Bell’s husband Jesse Lipson is also a graduate of Duke who works in Raleigh tech industry. That’t not all they have in common.
Lipson, a corporate vice president at Citrix, also took to the podium at the convention this week.
