RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – As winter weather advisories and warnings have been issued across central North Carolina for snow starting this afternoon, some schools have decided to start later or end their day sooner than normal.
Apex Middle School— closed Wednesday because of heating issues
Clinton City Schools — early release planned for Wednesday
Cumberland County Schools — will release students two hours early Wednesday afternoon
Durham Public Schools — will release one hour early. All after-school and evening activities are canceled.
Edgecombe County Schools — will have a three-hour early release Wednesday
Franklin County Schools — all schools will dismiss early Wednesday. High schools will dismiss at 11:45 a.m., middle schools at 12:15 p.m. and elementary schools at 12:45 p.m.
Harnett County Schools — will dismiss early on Wednesday
Hoke County Schools — early release planned for Wednesday
Johnston County Schools — will operate on an early dismissal schedule
Nash-Rocky Mount Schools — Wednesday evening activities canceled
Northampton County Schools — releasing students at noon Wednesday
Sampson County Schools — will release students two hours early Wednesday afternoon
Wilson County Schools — early release planned for Wednesday
Wake County Schools — all schools will dismiss two hours early Wednesday, except for Apex Middle School, which will be closed Wednesday because of heating system issues
Warren County Schools — will operate on two-hour delay on Wednesday
Wayne County Schools — Traditional & Goldsboro High will have a three-hour early release Wednesday
