A 17-year-old girl is dead and three others are in the hospital after a rollover crash involving more than a dozen teens in North Port early Saturday morning.
The driver, a 19-year-old girl, is accused of being drunk behind the wheel.
Police responded to the intersection of Joewood Circle and Genip Court just after 2:30 a.m. when deputies arrived said they discovered approximately 13 people were inside and on the roof of a 2010 Toyota SUV when the driver Stephanie Evrard,19, lost control and rolled the SUV over
Investigators established probable cause Evrard was operating the SUV under the influence and charged her with one count of DUI Manslaughter, and three counts of DUI with Personal Injury. Evrard is expected to face a judge Sunday morning.
