5th earthquake in 3 days reported near South Carolina city, emergency officials say

ELGIN, S.C. (WSPA) – A fifth earthquake was recorded Wednesday morning near Elgin, according to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division.

We previously reported earthquakes happening on Monday near Elgin and Lugoff, cities that are both near Columbia.

SCEMD said the fifth earthquake registered a 2.4 magnitude at 4:12 a.m. near Elgin.
