NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Portsmouth man who produced child pornography of a 2-year-old boy and possessed thousands of images of and videos of minors engaging in sexual activity is facing more than two decades in prison.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 23-year-old Dashawn Webster, who was a member of numerous websites dedicated to child exploitation, was sentenced to 24 years in prison on Dec. 13.

Officials said Webster placed watermarked “copyrights” on them to identify the images as his own.

Prosecutors said Webster produced child pornography and shared it with others in order to gain access to various websites.

Webster produced child pornography with a 2-year-old and shared it with others in 2016, prosecutors said. He also possessed over 110,000 images and videos of child pornography.

Around the time of his arrest, Portsmouth police went to Webster’s house  — and he was found babysitting two boys.
