ELGIN, S.C. (WSPA) – An overnight earthquake was located in Elgin Sunday morning.

According to the U.S Geological Survey, the earthquake measured a magnitude of 3.4 around 1:31 a.m.

Even though Charlotte is 75 miles north of the earthquake’s epicenter, over 20 people reported feeling tremors. A few additional reports came in as far away as Pinehurst, NC. No damage has been reported.

The most recent earthquake in South Carolina prior to this Saturday was also located in Elgin on May 22.

According to the U.S Geological Survey, that earthquake measured a magnitude of 1.8 around 6:18 a.m.
