Wanted man arrested for wandering into Tennessee home nude and drunk

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) - A man wanted in Michigan for assaulting a police officer was arrested in Knoxville, Tennesee on Saturday after police say he, while nude and drunk on Smirnoff, wandered into a North Knoxville home to obtain a cold drink.

Rodriguez Pierre-Jayvan Bell, 37, is charged with disorderly conduct, indecent exposure, public intoxication, and being a fugitive from justice.

An arrest report states Knoxville police officers were called to a home on Elyria Drive around 1:53 p.m. Saturday for a disorderly conduct call. While en route, the officer encountered Bell, not wearing any clothing, walking south on Central Avenue Pike.

The officer asked Bell to get into his vehicle, but he ran through a yard back to Elyria Drive where he yelled at the person who originally called police. The officer was able to escort Bell back to his vehicle, but he would not tell the officer his name.

The homeowner said the naked man had entered his home and grabbed a cold drink from the refrigerator. The homeowner said he grabbed a baseball bat and chased Bell out of his home.

Bell was taken into custody at the scene. He admitted he had been drinking Smirnoff. He is currently being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
