HANOI, VIETNAM (CBS NEWSPATH) – Vietnam’s capital is gearing up to host the second summit between United States President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, scheduled for next week.

Hanoi’s streets are lined with North Korean and U.S. flags, each pair mounted with a sign featuring a handshake.

Banners and posters commemorating the high-profile meeting are also on display throughout the city.

Local entrepreneurs, who are located in the old quarter, welcome the event while hoping to cash in on new business opportunities.

Shop owner Truong Thanh Duc, who sells custom T-shirts including those of political leaders, is excited that Trump and Kim will be in Hanoi for their meeting.

Operating from a small workshop above his store, the businessman prints shirts featuring portraits of Trump and Kim with the word “peace.”

“The T-shirt design conveys my passion for peace and I think it is also good business,” said Duc.

Duc is a fan of Trump for his business-driven decisions and colorful personality.

Duc also likes Kim because the young leader is willing to bring about change for his country.

“Having the meeting in Hanoi, both countries may send the message that former enemies can become friends and partners,” according to Vietnamese historian Duong Trung Quoc.
